Vegetable with beautiful fruits that are harvested early with the flower still on. Used as a cucumber or in stews and woks, also pickling. The leaves are large and easily choke out weeds. Sheltered, sunny spot in rich, well-fertilized soil. Water abundantly. Direct sowing in warm locations but pre-planting is recommended.
