Beate is Norway's most popular potato variety. The potato is red-skinned, floury and has white flesh. Resistant to nematodes (roundworms) and the fungal disease potato cyst nematode. Late variety.
- Late popular floury variety with white flesh, resistant to nematodes and potato cyst nematode
- Thrives in a bright spot in lean, well-drained soil, set about 10 cm deep, not too dense
- Pre-germinate indoors for 4-6v for fine sprouts, plant out when soil is at least +8°C
